Nikon D600 Hands-on Review
We take a look at Nikon's latest "cheaper" full-frame DSLR - the D600(http://bit.ly/NikonD600body). How does it fit in between the D7000(http://bit.ly/1scmSeY) and D800(http://bit.ly/1oPGsIL)? Does it offer cheap and nasty performance or cheap thrills?

@christopherfrost : Lok, why don't you use the Tamron 24-70 f2.8 VC for video shooting? It might look awesome!
@TomZentra : It is incredible that Nikon is still having this issue. When I bought my D3 years ago dust and oil on the sensor were a MAJOR problem. No matter how often I cleaned the sensor the dust and oil were back after the next shoot.
@Bombatron : I have been a DigitalRev subscriber for more than a year. The quality of the review and the articulation of thoughts, for me, ranks as among the best that Kai has ever done.
@demonlsy : I just got my D600 today, it is light weight and full frame, is really good for semi-pro who travel alot and don't want to carry something too heavy. landscape and portrait and even street shooting is awesome.
@russellgascoine7313 : Went for this because its full frame, little things like comparing focus points on D7100 don't bother me etc. At the end of the day its whats best for you. Love this camera love the 50mm lens. Love the video, Kai rocks.

I Prosopon : Yup. I bought mine used about 4 years ago. Low shutter count. Fantastic camera. Finally, I got my "35mm film SLR" back in the digital age. Fantastic camera. That oil spot problem kept folks away, prices low on the used market. Plus F-mount, zillions of lenses. Much great cheap glass. I've got 1/2-dozen lenses I use all the time that cost less than $50. A couple semi-pricey's too, mind you, unavoidable if you're a shutterbug.
JOHN ARMSTRONG : I bought my d600 used online from a camera store a friend had recommended , nearly 6 years later It is still producing excellent quality and the sensor has never needed to be cleaned , I use AI,AIS and AI converted lenses most of the time but have also used AFS and screw drive AF lenses as well .
I also have my D7000 I bought new when the D7100 was introduced and the D7000 prices fell. I intend to get another D600/610 from the same store in the future.
Markus Arike : Thinking of grabbing either a D600 or Canon 6D mainly because as you said, lenses are dirt cheap now. A Nikon 70-200 F4 VR or Canon 70-200 f4 L are lenses that simply aren’t hgavailable in mirrorless, unless you want to spend big $$$.
Michael DelRossi : I have the D7000 and just jumped a few minutes ago and bought the D600 after watching your review! I also have the D7500, but it's still in my Camera bag and really don't use it; it's too plasticky
Thanks for the input!
Stepan Sterh : In terms of dynamic range and color depth, Nikon D610 leaves all canons far behind!
And also, according to the working ISO, Nikon D610 is higher than Canon EOS 6D, it is not clear where the author of the video got muddy data about ISO.
In general, Nikon D610 scores 94 points, and Canon EOS 6D only 82 points, this is a huge gap!!!
Nikon D610 Color Depth 25.1 Dynamic Range 14.4 Working ISO 2980
Canon EOS 6D Color Depth 23.8 Dynamic Range 12.1 Operating ISO 2340

Nikon D750 Review:
Mark Stephan : It's November 2021 and I'm still using and loving my D600 which has never had the oil issue. I use it often with the Tokina 16-28 f/2.8 for landscapes, use the 35 f/1.8 as my standard walk around kit and when I need a zoom it's the superb 24-120 f/4VR. I agree 100% with your excellent review!
BaileyPawsPlays : I purchased the D600 camera in like 2016 used for around 800$. I did have the sensor oil issue. I lived with it for about a year as it wasn't really bad. Then i sent it into Nikon for the D610 free shutter replacement. Turn around was quick... about a week. So far 3 years later and thousands of pictures 0 issues. This review hits it right on the head. If you can get this or a D610 used it is more than adequate enough for pretty much anything you wanna shoot. I really enjoy shooting with this camera.
Woodlands of Canada : I have the D600 and am very happy with the results. And the oil spots are not nearly as bad as many people propose.
E.C. Vink : Still own the D600 since it came out with the 24-85 kitlens, no issues, great camera, I love it. I also use my old lenses. I have the old E series wich are quit good. I also own a D5000 with the 18 105 lens. Thanks for this review.
